Fundamentals Program

What is the MOVE Fundamentals Program?

Our mission at MOVE is to provide you with the best training experience possible. Chances are good you’re here because you want a combination of strength training, stretching, and mobility. Perhaps you’re curious about “calisthenics” (gymnastics exercises designed to develop physical health and vigor, usually performed with little or no special apparatus). This style of training is also known as Gymnastics Strength Training (GST).

We built our Fundamentals Program to set you up physically for classes. Many of our new students aren’t new to training – they’re either new to THIS style of training or they simply haven’t trained in years.  Many also come to us with injuries and need a gradual approach to build back their athleticism.

This integration of training is VERY effective – but it requires a learning phase. Our fundamentals curriculum is very comprehensive and has been refined over many years of use.  Here’s our basic outline:

Day 1/5: Lower body dominant (quads, knees, single leg training, and hamstring work)

Day 2/5: Upper Body Pressing

Day 3/5: Rotator Cuff / Hanging & Pulling

Day 4/5: Spine / Core & Intro to “soft” acrobatics

Day 5/5: Barbell Training / Plyo work & Hip Flexibility

Think of Fundamentals literally as the specialty program to prepare you for classes. We have Fundamentals for beginners, and intermediate/advanced athletes.  In other words, we customize this program for you.

It’s challenging, rewarding to pass, and will open your eyes to the world where the most important training methods are integrated together.

In addition to these 5 private sessions, you also get two stretch classes. We feel really comfortable allowing new folks to jump into stretch classes because they’re technically more simple. (thenaturalresult.com) Strength classes are more complex and require preparation and a standard to pass.

Fundamentals is totally worth it – it’s your program, with your coach, tailored to you as we learn you, and you learn us.

See you at MOVE,
